The Mamá Paulita Children’s Home is located on the Mexico–Laredo National Highway in the El Limón ejido, in the municipality of Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico. This institution is situated approximately 12 km north of the municipal center of Ciudad Mante.
It is known as the “heart of Tamaulipas” due to its strategic location and its commercial importance in the region. The El Mante region in Tamaulipas stands out for its natural richness. It is also known for its agricultural production, especially sugarcane. The area has a warm climate and lush vegetation, serving as a gateway to the El Cielo Biosphere Reserve.
In this region we see children who are in vulnerable situations, primarily due to abandonment, family violence, and child abuse—conditions that place the physical and emotional well-being of boys and girls at risk.
Mama Paulita is a children’s home founded in 1958 by Matilde Osuna de Ruiz in response to a growing need in the region. It provides a safe home for children between the ages of 4 and 16. Over 800 children have passed through its doors, many experiencing lasting transformation in their lives.
In 1982, with the support of the association Caring Action for Children, a school was built—“Escuela Profesor y General Gregorio Osuna Hinojosa.” The school serves both the children of the home and others from the surrounding community.
Today, the school offers education at the kindergarten, primary, secondary, and high school levels. In the afternoons, students participate in extracurricular activities such as music classes. The facility also serves as a community shelter during times of flooding, as it is equipped with bathrooms and a full kitchen.
We invite you to be part of this mission.
A monthly donation of $200 provides a child with consistent meals, safe housing, access to education, medical care, and the support they need to grow emotionally and spiritually. Your support does more than meet physical needs—it helps give a child stability, dignity, and a real opportunity for a better future.
By partnering with us, you are helping raise up the next generation of men and women who will go on to positively impact their communities.
